Final of Bellbrook Cup won by Derek Burton

Well done to Derek Burton of Peasedown St John, Bath who won £1000 by winning the Bellbrook Cup at the weekend. 2nd place went top Robbie Maunder who won .....nothing!!!

They both managed 5 fish each in truly appalling conditions - windy, wet and cold - but these proper outdoor types weren't to be deterred. Derek's fish weight a whopping 5 oz more than Robbie's - who was magnanimous in defeat. Derek's best fly was a Daddy Long Legs but fish were also caugh on Hair's Ear, Damsel and Cats Whisker. In all 18 anglers took part and the best fish of the day was caught by Ian Nadin of Cullompton with a 9-2 from the specimen lake. Graham Morris of Radstock had an 8 pounder and Ian Stibbs of Taunton had a 7-12 - the smallest fish of the day from the specimen lake was 5-8.

Well done to everyone for sticking through the conditions and for supporting the event :) We will shortly announce the details of the Bellbrook Cup 2016!
