Fishing Report for 2nd Heat of Bellbrook Cup (£1000 cash prize!)

The second heat of the Bellbrook Cup took place at the end of May and a challenging day’s fishing it was too. The weather was cloudy at first but still warm although there was one very heavy down pour - nothing these anglers couldnt handle!

The best catch of the day with his full limit of 6 fish was caught by John Connabeer of Totnes – well done John. The total bag weight was 20lb 2oz and his best fly for the day was a Blue Flash Damsel which seems to be the fly of choice at the moment.

The second best bag was 5 fish for 15lb 6oz caught by Richard Cooper of Lyme Regis and he had his success with a Black and Green Nomad.

The best fish of the day also fell to John Connabeer catching a Blue Rainbow at 6-10.

There are still 4 heats of the competition left and so if you want to be in with a chance of winning the £1000 cash prize please get in touch with the fishery asap.
